Connect Instagram
Orqestra brings Instagram Direct Messages and WhatsApp conversations into the same shared inbox.
Instagram Account Requirements
The account must meet these requirements:
- It is an Instagram Business or Creator account; personal accounts are not supported
- It is connected to a Facebook Page you own or manage
- Your Facebook account has the Admin role for that Page
To switch account type in Instagram, open Settings > Account type and tools > Switch to professional account.
Connect the Account
- Open Settings > Channels
- Select Add Instagram Channel
- Orqestra briefly redirects you to Facebook sign-in
- Select the Facebook account connected to Instagram
- Grant the requested permissions
- Orqestra returns you to the dashboard and adds the Instagram channel to the list
Connection usually takes less than 2 minutes.
What You Can Manage
Direct Messages — Every incoming DM appears in the Orqestra inbox. The team can reply, assign an agent, or use an automated flow.
Comments — Moderate comments on feed posts and Reels from the dashboard.
Content — Manage the Instagram content schedule and archive.
Ads — View performance for active advertising campaigns.
Automated Instagram Flows
Create automated conversations for Instagram through Flow Builder. Available message types reflect Instagram's platform capabilities, including quick replies, images, and text.
Important Limits
24-hour window — Instagram lets a business reply within 24 hours of the customer's last message. After that window, the customer must send another message before the conversation can continue.
One Page, one channel — Each Facebook Page can connect to one Instagram channel in Orqestra.

Do Story replies appear in the inbox?
Yes. When a customer replies to a Story, the message appears as a DM in Orqestra.
What if I need to use a different Instagram account?
Delete the existing channel, then connect the new account.
Do I need to refresh the access token?
